The Code of the Eight

The Code of the Eight
by Daune O'Shaunnessey

You can only hide for so long. In 1990, an obscure quasi-government agency called Project Integrity discovers a conspiracy buried deep within a division called Odessa in of one of the most secretive organizations in the world, the National Security Council. The only way to stop this small group from unleashing this technology on the unknowing public is to steal the technology from Odessa and hide it. But not before it is unleashed upon the Federal Reserve computer systems, which bring the financial markets in the United States spiraling downward. All but eight members of Project Integrity are assassinated. The surviving eight members go into hiding, scattered across the country, with a simple agreement to only come out of hiding if they are discovered. You can only hide for so long. Eventually, you have to act. In 1992, the covers of the members of the Eight are blown, they are forced to come together and do what they were not able to do two years prior.
